Multi Domain or SAN (Subject Alternative Names) certificates protects multiple domain names with a single certificate (domain.com, example.net, website.org etc). The multi-domain certificates can cover up to 250 domains with just one certificate.

It is designed to secure unlimited subdomains under multiple domains. During generation, the Common Name has to be a regular domain (www.domain.com) and the SAN fields can be your wildcard entries.
